Overview

Crash Bandicoot: Warped is the third game in the Crash Bandicoot series and the first to feature Coco as a playable character. The player takes control of Crash and Coco Bandicoot, who must travel back and forward in time and gather 25 crystals before Uka Uka and Doctor Neo Cortex can do so. Much of the game takes place in the Time Twister which acts as the hub area of the game. The Time-Twister is split up into five chambers, each chamber has five buttons that open portals to different levels. The goal in each level is to find and obtain the crystal hidden in the level. Crash Bandicoot: Warped was lauded by critics in many areas, and the game has been considered one of the best video games of all time.

Crash Bandicoot: Warped (1998) - Cheats and Secrets
• Secret warp rooms: hidden warp platforms lead to extra levels. The most famous is in 'Dino Might!': use the second rope with the pterodactyl to reach the secret room and access 'Eggipus Rex'.
• Another secret warp is found in 'Deep Trouble': near the exit at the end of the underwater section, a hidden platform unlocks the level 'Hot Coco'.
• Alternate endings: collecting all gems and all relics (including platinum) unlocks different ending cutscenes after defeating Cortex.
• The Time Twister Machine (time room) unlocks by beating Cortex and watching the normal ending; completing its levels is required for the remaining relics.
• In time trials, smashing crates adds bonus time: save some for the end, and use the spin move to clear multiple enemies in a row for extra seconds.
• Extra lives: levels with Polar the bear let you replay sections with perfect jumps, and hidden lives behind tough platforms are the best way to build up a stockpile.
• Note that the PAL version runs slightly differently from NTSC, which matters in the tightest time trials.
• Pro tip: master the double jump and the spin while carrying a nitro; in time trial mode, using TNT crates to your advantage (bouncing on them without breaking them) saves precious seconds.
