Overview
A third-person action RPG with cooperative and competitive multiplayer elements in which the player enters the kingdom of Boletaria as it is being ravaged by a fog that spawns murderous demons. The player has to hunt down the arch demons situated in five disparate areas within the kingdom and partake in punishing combat to reach the Old One, the vengeful being that brought the fog to Boletaria.

Demon's Souls (PS3) - Tricks, Secrets and Tips
• There are no official cheat codes; the game is designed to be beaten through skill and knowledge.
• Famous trick: in the tutorial, the Vanguard knight is intentionally impossible at first; you can defeat him with a backstab critical hit at the start, earning a Unique item early.
• King Doran door glitch: in The Nexus, with the Dull Gold Coin (bought from Patches for 1000 souls after lighting the fire in 2-1), stand on the stairs and press l3+X so you fall in between the struts to pass through the invisible wall and open King Doran's door without the key (patched in later versions).
• Tip: kill the first Red Dragon in 1-1; if you run to the dragon's tower you can defeat it on foot with ranged attacks or magic, earning lots of souls and valuable items.
• Tip: don't level your character early; weapon stats are key, and upgrade stones are best farmed in World 2-2.
• Tip: use player messages on the ground; they're community-written hints that point out traps, shortcuts and hidden treasures.
• Tip: in human (revived) form, summon allies to assault zones; in soul form other players are easier to see but you take more damage.
• Secret: World 4-1 (Shrine of Storms) with the Soul Arrow spell is ideal for farming souls early if you pick the Royal class.
