Mario Kart 7 (3DS) - Unlockables and Tips
• Coins: collect coins during races to unlock kart parts. Your coin total accumulates even across sessions (up to 300 per race, 10,000 max).• Unlock Mirror Mode by winning every cup in 150cc.• Golden parts: earn three-star rank in every cup (golden glider), at least one star in every 150cc cup (golden body), or collect 10,000 coins (golden wheels).• Unlock hidden characters by playing through the cups: Metal Mario (Special Cup), plus Lakitu, Shy Guy, Wiggler and Honey Queen in 150cc cups.• Tip: use the glider to float over coin trails and hidden shortcuts, and charge your drift through corners for mini-turbos.• Pro tip: hold a mushroom or star in first place to block incoming items, and don't stay in the lead too early if you fear a blue shell.
