Outlast II (2017) – Cheats and Tips
• Outlast II has no cheat codes or console commands. Here are real unlockables and survival strategies instead.
• Infraworld (night vision) mode: unlocked by finishing the game on any difficulty; grants night vision without consuming batteries.
• Nightmare difficulty unlocks after completing the campaign; Vhs Prison offers an even harder challenge mode.
• Batteries are scarce: turn off the camera and memorize routes so you can move in the dark whenever lighting allows.
• Sprinting is loud and leaves traces: crouch and stay quiet, and only use hiding spots like barrels or under beds when the enemy is close.
• Close doors behind you to slow pursuers; some enemies can't open doors, buying you precious time.
• Learn each enemy's pattern: Marta, the heretics and others are detected by sound, so stop moving and listen for footsteps before advancing.
• Collect all documents and recordings to unlock achievements/trophies and the full story; some collectibles are in hidden side areas, so explore before moving on to the next chapter.
