Overview
The communist state of Arstotzka has just ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin. Your job as immigration inspector is to control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the throngs of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists. Using only the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission's primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems you must decide who can enter Arstotzka and who will be turned away or arrested.

Papers, Please has no cheat codes, but these documented tips will help you survive in Arstotzka:
• Memorize the rules from previous days: new rules are added daily, and flipping through the rulebook wastes precious time.
• Use the magnifier inspection on stamps and documents: discrepancies in weights, dates or names are the most common cause of citations.
• Bribes exist but are risky: taking money from certain visitors affects which ending you unlock.
• Buy essential upgrades first: heat and food are top priorities to keep your family alive.
• Listen for the audio cue: if you hear a whistle while checking fingerprints or names, there's a discrepancy to flag.
• There are 20 different endings: your choices with the EZIC order, bribes, and who you let through determine the outcome.
• Save money before each night: you must pay for rent, food and medicine daily, and running out of funds ends the game.
