Plague Inc. – Tips, unlockables and pro strategies
• There are no official cheat codes; progress is earned by playing and unlocking plague types (bacteria, virus, fungus, parasite, prion, nano-virus, bioweapon) by winning games on Normal difficulty or higher.
• Special modes (Neurax Worm, Necroa virus with zombies, Simian Flu, etc.) unlock by completing previous plagues or are available as paid DLC.
• Key tip: upgrade transmission first (water and air for humid climates) and drug resistance, saving lethal symptoms for the end.
• Devolve annoying mutations early; symptoms that mutate on their own raise visibility too soon.
• Keep some DNA unspent to devolve Lethality if you are detected too early.
• On Mega Brutal difficulty, avoid upgrading Insomnia early and buy drug resistance as soon as cure research begins.
• Infect Greenland and Madagascar as early as possible: they are the hardest countries to reach, with only a seaport and airport as entry points.
