Overview
In the second in the Pokemon Ranger series, you once again play as a Pokemon Ranger, working to help people, Pokemon and nature in a new area called the Almia Region. Starting out as a Student Ranger, you quickly earn the title of a full-fledged Pokemon Ranger. As you succeed in more and more missions, you will aspire to become the highest Ranger rank: Top Ranger. Along the way you meet and capture all kinds of different Pokemon.
Capture wild Pokemon and create a team to clear obstacles and puzzles encountered along the way. After using a Pokemon’s ability, it will leave your team; however, you will have a Partner Pokemon that will always stay by your side. As you progress through Missions and Quests, your Capture Styler becomes more powerful, giving your Styler more Energy and eventually advancing you to the level of Top Ranger.

Pokémon Ranger: Shadows of Almia (2008, Nintendo DS) - Tips & Unlockables
• After completing the story, you can return to the original locations of the three legendary friend Pokémon to capture them again for your support team.
• Extra Ranger Net missions (such as the Darkrai mission) were officially distributed via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection downloads; they are no longer available but were real.
• Completing all main-story missions unlocks higher ranks and additional missions at the Vientown Ranger Base.
• Tip: chain fast overlapping loops over the same spot to charge the capture line faster during boss battles.
• Tip: before a boss fight, capture support Pokémon that restore the capture line or slow the target; matching types improve the assist.
• Tap trees, flowers and cracks with the stylus to find hidden Pokémon; many only appear this way and are key for your support team.
• Save often at Ranger Bases; failing a boss capture forces you to replay the entire scene.
