Overview
In Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne, the player takes on the role of a young boy who is caught up in the apocalypse while visiting his sick teacher, Yuko Takao, with his two classmates Chiaki Hayasaka and Isamu Nitta. The player must survive in the Vortex World with the new powers and capabilities given to the protagonist through Magatama obtained from Lucifer. With these powers, the player is given the opportunity to align themselves with a Reason that decides what the world will become.

• Complete the Mantra Academy early: your posture choice (Strength, Knowledge, or Freedom) affects the ending, and your answer on the final exam grants bonuses.
• Kalpa items in the Labyrinth of Amala can only be obtained at specific story points; don't postpone them or you may lose access to the True Demon Ending.
• To get the True Demon Ending, enter the Labyrinth of Amala from the start and complete all five Kalpas before opening the Tower of Kagutsuchi.
• Fuse demons while Magatama granting key passive skills (magic concentration, resistance to Expel and Death) are equipped to survive the toughest bosses.
• Terminal rooms in the Amala Network and rooms with circles hold rare items; check every corner, as shops are scarce in later areas.
