Overview
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is the first Zelda game created specifically with the Wii in mind. The game makes use of the Wii MotionPlus peripheral for sword fighting, with a revised Wii Remote pointing system used for targeting. Skyward Sword is structured very similar to previous Zelda games, as you travel through an overworld in search of temples to visit and once in you solve a series of puzzles before fighting a boss at the end and receive the next bit of plot. The biggest change is that the overworld is more focused on puzzles with only a handful of action.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (Wii) - Tips, Unlockables and Secrets
• Zora Suit: earned by progressing through the main quest; it lets Link breathe underwater in the flooded areas of Lake Floria.
• Hylian Shield: available for purchase at the Skyloft bazaar shop (500 rupees) once you progress far enough, or won as a random chest reward in the Lanayru Desert dungeon.
• Item Upgrades: collect enemy materials (fangs, crystals, monster parts) and bring them to the upgrade bench in the bazaar to reinforce shields, bows and other gear.
• Rupee Medal: a hidden treasure that doubles the rupees you collect; found in secret chests by exploring optional areas thoroughly.
• Ghirahim boss tip: when he summons floating swords, dodging with a roll is safer than blocking; only strike after he finishes his combo.
• Survival tip: use wooden shields against electric enemies, as metal shields will electrocute you.
• Shield repair: expose the Hylian Shield to the goddess rays from the sky or near sacred statues to restore its durability.
• Farming tip: use a spin attack on groups of weak enemies to gather monster parts and rupees quickly.
